Matti-Lynn Chrisman serves as the Customer Relationship Management Specialist overseeing multiple projects related to H2H’s website, database, and overall function.
Matti is a two-time graduate of Kent State University with a BA in Public Communication and a BFA in Musical Theatre. Since graduating for the last time in 2019, Matti has worked professionally both in communications and the arts having jobs in marketing, performing, event planning, choreography, public speaking, and more. In 2020, Matti became the Apprenticeship Coordinator for the Akron Area Electrical JATC in Akron, OH. There, she grew an appreciation for the trades (and wished someone would have told her at 18 that you don’t have to go into college debt to have an amazing career).
Matti has a special passion for serving those who served our country. This passion was ignited by a mentor and friend named Doc who would sit and tell her stories of his time spent serving America in the Vietnam War. In 2019, Doc was invited on a trip hosted by Honor Flights Columbus, Inc. whose mission is to honor America’s veterans from WWII through the Vietnam War with a trip to Washington D.C. to visit their service and war memorials. When the veterans return from D.C., they are met with thunderous applause from hundreds of people waiting to welcome them home. One of Matti’s most prominent memories is watching Doc walk off his Honor Flight with tears of joy and pride streaming down his face and arms spread wide to give her a giant hug. Since then, she’s been delighted and honored to serve the men and women who sacrifice everything for the red, white, and blue the way that crowd honored Doc.
Matti is from Cambridge, OH but currently lives in Chicago, IL. She spends most of her time reading books about weird history, hiking new trails, listening to true crime podcasts, and cuddling her fur babies: a blind rescue cat named Fluffy Pants and a barn kitten turned city cat named Chai.
